Business segments

In the audiovisual production sector, the Group mainly supplies all types of programmes to hertzien stations and cable and satellite stations: drama (films and televised series, feature films), TV shows (entertainment programmes, documentary, short programmes) and animation (series and films). In terms of distribution, Carrere Group markets the TV, video and cinema rights to its own catalogue and those of other producers. The Group exploits a catalogue of over 6,000 hours of programmes and a large part of its business is international. In addition to production and distribution, the marketing sector incorporates the Group’s advertising, communication and merchandising activities.

The strategy

Thanks to the single group culture which allows producers to focus on the creative aspect of their work while benefiting from the advantages of a large group, Carrere brings together people of consequence from all over the audiovisual world. In the past Carrere Group has demonstrated its ability to integrate production companies by improving the operating performance of the new integrated company based on the pooling of resources and a global strategic effort. To date the Group has already integrated eighteen companies or groups of companies.

 
Group's history

Milestones in the Company’s development: 1986: Creation of the Company. Claude Carrere founded Carrere Television with capital of EUR 38,113. Initially it produced popular programmes and games. 1990-1994: The Carrere Television years. From January 1990 under the name Carrere Television, Carrere Group was the French leader in the production of "Prime Time" programmes.

 
Executive team

The company is constitued with a Supervisory Board and Management Board. The Supervisory Board is composed of Claude Carrere, Michel Ayot, Romain Carrere, Bernard Lozé, Olivier Roussel. The Management Board is composed of Dominique Orecchioni and Axel Carrere. Each subsidiary has its own managing director.
